There are still some spaces left for Chess Camp on August 10, 11, and 12 at Planet Fun in St. Peters. From 9:30am to 4:00pm each day, kids get chess lessons, a scorebook, lunch, a snack, and plenty of play time at Planet Fun. Each afternoon there will also be a chess exhibition or simultaneous and a quick tournament with prizes for the winners. Since the center has closed, the St. Peters Chess Club is currently meeting only on Fridays at Liberty Classical School from 4:30pm until 6:00pm. Call 636-278-6284 for more information.

Take Exit 217 off I-70. Turn left and go south on Hwy K under the bridge. Turn right at the first traffic light after the highway. Go west on Veterans Memorial past Big K and ShopNSave. Turn right on Woodlawn Ave AFTER you go through the traffic light for South Woodlawn Ave. Follow the curve by the highway the school is just before the end of the road. You can park in the lot behind the Century 21 office.

Our NEXT Beginner Chess class starts at 4:00pm on October 16, 2009. Come learn to play chess and improve your focus and thinking skills.

Learn to Play classes: Fridays 4:00pm – 4:45pm
Scholastic Workshops: Fridays 4:30pm – 5:30pm or Mondays 5pm – 6pm
Individual Tutoring: $10/hr
Open Chess Club: Fridays 5:30pm-7pm

The St. Peters Chess Club was started in 2004 and moved to BEST Tutoring in 2006. The St. Peters Chess Club has been an active United States Chess Federation affiliate (USCF id: A6022975) for over two years offering instruction and tournaments.
